3/17: St. Patrick's Day Edition!

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! Ruth Ann and I decided to take a day trip yesterday to Old Town Spring because Fredricksburg was too far away we realized. :) But that was just fine, since I've never been to either. My goal was to go someplace new... mission accomplished!

A card from my parents. :)

Picture with the sign!

I'm pretty sure this describes me perfectly.

Speaking of shoes, RA and I decided to stop into The Little Dutch Girl store and try on some wooden shoes!

Don't let the smile fool you... they were SUPER uncomfortable!

Aerial shot. :)

Thanks to Celeste for my new St. Patty's Day shirt!

Yet another flag shot.

Yay for bluebonnets!!

I'm wondering if someone actually tried to steal one of these poodles...

Almost bought Aggie-opoly... can't believe I still don't own it!

Didn't know I had a side job, didja?? ;)

Fun day!

Bag full of goodies from The Little Dutch Girl. Sooo wanted to get some fudge, but the minimum weight they would sell was 1/4 pound. And if I had bought that much, I would have eaten it all! :\

A bubble machine at the bath store! The whole time RA and I were eating lunch, we kept seeing bubbles flying out from nowhere! The store was interesting... they had ALL kinds of rubber duckies. I mean ALL kinds.

She's happy to be in Old Town Spring too!

"Are you saying 'yes' to the dress??" ;) HAHA

3/5-3/15

Just for Ruth Ann.... SPRING BREAK TWO OH ONE TWO!!!! ;) This week has been so much fun and relaxing and productive, which explains my lack of blogging.

As a part of my teacher observations, I have to set a certain number of goals for myself. One of mine was to create a question/answer center for my kids. They got to write their questions on a post-it note before a test, and then on the day of the review they were able to come up and read my answers. I was actually really impressed with how excited they were to read the answers! There was a big crowd gathered around the poster. :)

Ruth Ann got these awesome straws that have flavoring inside for when you drink milk. Here she is demonstrating the chocolate one. :)

Since I did not get Teacher of the Year, my sweet roommate brought me flowers and wine. :)

Skittles staking claim on another chair.

Skittles staking claim on my zebra snuggie. She says, "N.B.D. (nobigdeal)"

Birthday cake Oreos. Enough said. If you haven't experienced the goodness that is birthday cake icing, get on it.

Happy Pi Day!!! I just happened to look down at my phone at 3:14! :)

At the Rockets game! :)

Lots of fun!

Gringo's for dinner... free ice cream cones for dessert!

2/26-3/4

What a very busy week last week was!

2/29- My 7th grade math team and I had the entire day to work on our Project-Based Learning plans for the 6th six weeks. Here was our to-do list (I just love crossing things off lists). You will also notice my artwork... and everyone also got a nickname! It kept us entertained. :)

That same day, I found out that I received this tremendous honor! Being nominated for Teacher of the Year!
(We got the results this week... I didn't win. :( But it was fun while it lasted!)

Over the weekend, my mom and I went on my church's Women's Retreat. It was so fun to get away and relax with other women who love the Lord! We had a cabin craft project where we decorated a canvas with words from a magazine.

This picture is a little out of order, but RA took me out for fro-yo after hearing about my nomination. :) Thanks, RA!

This is Carole Wolaver, the speaker at the retreat. She's also known as the Pottery Lady. While she's speaking, she sits at her wheel and "throws" a pot! It was fascinating!

Mom and I after another craft project at the retreat.

I think Candi is sick of our smut (Bachelor) watching. ;)

The pots that were "thrown" during the retreat. So beautiful!

Stupid Courtney...
(That wasn't very nice of me, I know. But she brings out the worst in me HA!)

Did I already post this picture? I can't remember...
My classroom door is all ready for spring!

Again, sorry for the lack of picture ordering, but I'm too lazy for all that mess. ;)
Sarah and I working diligently on our project!

Ringarooma #3 cabin mates!
